October, 2009 – September 2012, Post Graduation: Doctoral (Ph.D) at the Laboratory of Plant Stress Responses, Faculty of Agriculture, Kagawa University, Japan under Three Years Special Doctoral Programme for International Students in the Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture and Related Sciences, The United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences-Ehime University, Japan.

Funded by: Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship.


Field of Study: Plant Stress Physiology and Antioxidant Metabolism


Title of Thesis: Nitric oxide- and selenium-induced modulation of antioxidant defense and glyoxalase system in conferring abiotic stress tolerance to plants.

2005, Graduation: M. S. in Agronomy at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka. (Exam. Held in 2006)  

Result: CGPA 4.0 in a scale of 4.0 (Above 90%)    

Merit Position: First

Title of Thesis: Response of rapeseed line SAU-C-F7 to different row spacing and irrigation level. 
Courses Studied: Advanced Crop Production Technology, Seed Technology, Crop Physiology and Stress Agronomy, Postharvest Technology, Fertilizer Management, Sustainable Agriculture, Applied Weed Science, Farming System, Irrigation Water Management, Statistical Methods and Design of Experiments. 


2000, Underraduate: B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.) from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka. (Exam. held in 2003).

Result: First Class (60% and above)
